In 2023, the subject of my Photo Center documentary asked me to film his wedding reception. He gave me carte blanche to film the preparations, the guests and the venue (the historic Haas-Lilienthal House here in San Francisco.) I saw it as a unique opportunity to capture the tenor of the times through a typical social event. Also, I was able to preserve a special moment in time for my newly wedded friend.
